Pricing Policy

Q: Why so low?

It's rather simple. It took me a while to decide on this; it is so hard to go with an all-around price on kids as opposed to individual price but it essentially comes down to this -- the economy is bad right now. There is no denying it. Markets for pretty much everything are plummeting, and goat breeders included are sometimes forced to sell everything just to focus on themselves and keep their heads above water. I have seen a large slow down in buyers interested due to feed prices going up, among other things, though I have also seen people approach looking to start a small self-sufficient homestead but shy away from prices.

"The prices are low so they must be mediocre quality/culls" some might think.
Absolutely not. I have some excellent genetics going and am constantly striving to keep the quality up and my numbers under control. I hope to generate good karma by selling quality stock at a reasonable price, actually!
This being said, I do not breed unless I have room.
I will not let myself become over-run, as I also feel the personalized time to each animal goes down as well. There's only so much attention that can go around, and right now I have found a very happy medium with my number right now.
Thus also influences my pricing -- keep it low so it appeals to general buyers! I also feel my packages are very reasonable.

Mature stock may be priced slightly higher however.

So there you have it! My reason for the new pricing. I suppose eventually as I move along in life they might go up some, but right now I'm going to just keep doing what I'm doing :)
